Q: Will a UPS keep my computer running during a power cut?
Yes. Unlike a standard inverter, a UPS switches to battery power instantly (in milliseconds). This prevents your computer from restarting, saving you from losing unsaved work.
Q: What appliances can I run on my backup system?
Most systems can power lights, fans, TVs, and Wi-Fi routers. If you need to run heavy appliances like air conditioners or refrigerators, you will need a higher-capacity system specifically designed for "heavy loads."
Q: How long will the battery last during a power outage?
Backup time depends on two things: the size of your battery and how many things you have switched on. To get more time, turn off non-essential lights and appliances during a blackout.
Q: Does the battery need a lot of maintenance?
If you use a Lithium-based system, it is virtually maintenance-free. If you have a traditional "tubular" lead-acid battery, you may need to check and refill the distilled water levels every few months.
Q: Why is my inverter beeping?
Beeping is the system's way of talking to you. A slow beep usually means it is running on battery. A fast or continuous beep might mean the battery is low or you have overloaded the system by turning on too many appliances.
Q: Is it safe to keep the inverter inside my living room?
Yes, but it needs "breathing room." Make sure the unit isn't tucked inside a tight cupboard or covered with cloth. It needs airflow to keep the internal components cool while charging.
Q: Can I leave the system switched on all the time?
Yes. The system is designed to stay on. It will automatically charge the battery when the main power is available and switch to backup mode only when the power goes out.
Switching to LED bulbs in your home can significantly increase your backup time. LED bulbs use up to 80% less power than traditional bulbs, meaning your battery doesn't have to work as hard!
